Rebecca is a lifelong learner with a genuine passion for helping others unlock their career and academic potential. With a diverse educational background that includes a Bachelor of Arts in Geography, a Bachelor of Education, a Master's of Education, a Certificate in Career and Academic Advising, and certifications in Emotional Intelligence and the Strong Interest Inventory, Rebecca is exceptionally equipped to guide you on your journey.
As a full-time Academic Advisor in the post-secondary sector, Rebecca has over 10 years of experience in career and academic advising. She understands the complexities of navigating educational and career pathways and is enthusiastic about helping you achieve your goals.
Rebecca’s personal journey enriches her coaching. As a mother of two, she balances family life with her professional commitments, demonstrating her ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Her interests in personal development, sports, board games, paddleboarding, reading, and walking reflect her well-rounded character and commitment to maintaining a balanced life.
Having lived in Japan for three years, where she taught English in a high school, Rebecca brings valuable international experience to her coaching. Her travels across the globe—visiting countries including China, Thailand, India, Egypt, Jordan, Greece, France, Italy, Germany, and the UK—have deepened her understanding of diverse cultures and perspectives, enriching her ability to connect with clients from various backgrounds.
Rebecca's career has evolved from customer service to a professional role as an ESL teacher, a junior high teacher in Calgary, and now as a post-secondary instructor and advisor. This varied experience equips her with unique insights into the educational system and the challenges individuals face during career transitions. Rebecca also ran her own tutoring business in Tuscany, Calgary for many years while her children were young.
